Frances Prescott Tri Balm Review

Hey Beauties!

I’m always on the lookout for the next best cleanser, its just something I really enjoy using. I feel like cleanser is probably the most important part of your whole routine as sets everything else up that you’re going to be doing, if you are using the wrong cleanser then its just downhill from there as your actives won’t be able to penetrate as well as they should, you might be drying out your skin and worst of all it might not even remove all of your makeup/SPF.

Frances Prescott Tri Balm Review

When Tri-Balm arrived I was a little confused as it looked really small for a cleanser but then I realised that it was in the form of a stick! I honestly dont think Ive ever come across this type of cleanser before and I think its safe to say im pretty much in love with this!
When my Votary Rose Geranium and Apricot Cleanser ran out i was looking for another oil cleanser to replace it as ive found out that i absolutely swear by oil for cleansing these days.

Tri-Balm is suitable for all skin types, I have combination/oily skin and I absolutely love it! Tri-Balm claims that it will cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise your skin I have to agree that it does do all of those things, but I would still be exfoliated and moisturising after this, Tri-Balm does make the skin softer and more hydrated after cleansing which is why I like it so much it beautifully preps the skin for your actives.

Tri-Balm contains a concoction of some beautiful ingredients such as an English Oil Blend, this includes English cereal, plant, fruit and flower oils, including NorOmega Gold, specifically blended to deliver high levels of topical nutrition to the skin. Tri-Balm also contains blackcurrant, starflower, echium and oat extract. Pumpkin Enzyme which is used as an exfoliant, It is extracted from pumpkin seeds that are packed with proteolytic enzymes which help to break down dead skin cells and speed up cell renewal. Pumpkin is also rich in exfoliating alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) along with antioxidant vitamin A and vitamin C, which soften and brighten skin, and alpha-carotene and beta-carotene which protect skin from premature ageing. Tri-Balm also contains sodium hyaluronate, a water-soluble salt form of hyaluronic acid which you will know is already naturally present in the body, hyaluronic acid has a remarkable ability to help retain over 1000 times its weight in water, i always say a hydrated skin is a healthy skin it looks much firmer and plump as well as brighter and glowy.

I have been using this for a good couple of months now I think i first used it in March and its still going strong, I really like the concept of a stick cleanser as its so easy and simple to use not to mention being travel friendly. I know a lot of you will be thinking about how hygenic this will be as its a stick I tend to roll it into my hands first and then apply to my face as the stick isn’t getting contaminated by whatever is on my face at the time.

When using Tri-Balm you apply this to a dry face as your first cleanse. I tend to massage it into the skin to destroy any makeup or SPF and then apply a little bit of water and further massage it into the skin and then wipe away with a wet washcloth. I have to say that I like the fact that it emulsifies once you apply water to it, it turns into a milky cleanser that again can be removed with water or a washcloth, I personally like to use a washcloth.

You can find the Frances Prescott Tri-Balm at francesprescott.com for £46* (70g)

I really like stick cleansers! The green tea one from Neogen is a great k-beauty options. Another ones I liked are the Modern Friction by Origins and the Boscia charcoal one. Nothing beats a great balm cleanser though – my favorites being Emma Hardie and Elemis!

Stick cleansers were all the rage in k-beauty world for the past two years or so but I have yet to try one. And I only started investing in the right cleanser for my skin in 2016, previously I refused to spend $$$ on cleansers! I thought there is no point in wasting $$$ on something that last less than 2 minutes on my skin. Oh boy, I was so wrong.
