You can probably already tell that the blog has had a rebrand! i would like to welcome you to The Skincare Savior! I thought it was time i made an update for the longest time ive felt like ive been stuck in the past and i finally decided to just take the leap and concentrate my blog on skincare!
I wanted to talk about a new cleanser that has just come on my radar! If you are a regular reader you’ll know the Alpha H Liquid Gold Resurfacing Cleansing Cream does just that!
Alpha H Liquid Gold Resurfacing Cleansing Cream is a what it sounds like a non-foaming cream based cleanser that can be used everyday. Containing both Glycolic and Lactic acids extracted from caviar limes native to Australia. If you aren’t familiar with AHA’s they dissolve the bonds between the cells of our skin (Intercellular Cement) removing the old dead skin cells.
I particularly love AHA’s because not only are they great at exfoliating your skin they help in anti aging as well. Glycolic Acid stimulates fibroblast cells deep in the dermis causing them to produce more collagen, this is really important as the other we get the less collagen we have which results in wrinkles and sagging.
Aqua (Water), Butylene Glycol, Lactic Acid, Glycolic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol (Cetostearyl Alcohol), Decyl Glucoside, Glyceryl Stearate, Potassium Hydroxide, Peg 100 Stearate, Propanediol, Stearic Acid, Butyrospermum Parkii Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter), Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Alcohol Denat., Parfum (Fragrance), Microcitrus Australasica Fruit Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract), Hyaluronic Acid, Citronellol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Linalool, Alpha-Isomethyl IononeFull Ingredients List
I have to admit i was a bit….meh when this arrived it sounded pretty interesting but it wasnt until i actually used it that it impressed me. I’m not sure the level of Glycolic and Lactic Acids in this but you can definitely feel it working! I like to use this as a mini mask whilst cleansing what i’ll do is apply it and cleanse as normal but leave it to work for about 5 minutes then emulsify and wash it off. I am always amazed at how well it actually exfoliates.
I usually say that with any active you have to wait at least month before you can see any noticeable results and that remains true, if you haven’t used AHA’s before you will notice how smooth your skin is right away but the brightening and resurfacing elements will take longer to show up. For someone like myself who has been using Glycolic for a long time i even noticed results which is impressive!
