Hey Beauties! In Scotland this summer  it has been really weird….it has actually been sunny! usually we get 2 days of summer then rain the rest of the time but this year was the exception I honestly dont remember the last time we had a good proper summer. Talking of summer not only is it important to wear SPF everyday it is especially important to wear it when it is hot and sunny. My latest go-to SPF is the Bioderma Photoderm MAX SPF50+ I know I was raving about how good the Paula’s Choice SPF was and to be honest…

Hey Beauties! There are always a few ingredients i always recommend and Niacinamide also known as Vitamin B3 is one of those. Niacinamide is a very effective skin-restoring ingredient that offers multiple benefits. Among these benefits is the ability to visibly improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness, and a weakened skin surface. Niacinamide can also mitigate the damage environmental attack can cause, and is stable in the presence of heat and light. So from the benefits above you can see why i love Niacinamide so much, not only is it amazing on its own but when…

Hey Beauties! What do you think of my new photo background? I’m really loving it! It just makes products pop. Today  i thought i would talk about a mask by Emma Hardie i have been using for a while now. Masks are something i tend to forget about because its just not something i think about very often so when i do use a mask its a very pampering luxury time! Emma Hardie is a brand that i absolutely adore, its one of those rare brands where every product ive used i have loved and to be honest that doesn’t…

Hey Beauties! I’m always on the lookout for the next best cleanser, its just something I really enjoy using. I feel like cleanser is probably the most important part of your whole routine as sets everything else up that you’re going to be doing, if you are using the wrong cleanser then its just downhill from there as your actives won’t be able to penetrate as well as they should, you might be drying out your skin and worst of all it might not even remove all of your makeup/SPF. When Tri-Balm arrived I was a little confused as it…

Hey Beauties!  You guys know how fanatical i can be about SPF so when i came across this beauty i kind of lost my shit haha. SPF should be worn 365 days of the year whether its hot or cold outside even if its cloudy UVA and UVB are still around. I often find that once people start to wear SPF its fantastic you are protecting yourself but the reapplication is always a problem, we should be reapplying every 2/3 hours when in direct sunlight (e.g. being outside) How do you apply SPF again over your makeup? the only solution…

Hey Beauties! I get a lot of messages from people wondering how best to deal with blackheads, it inspired me to write a blog post on the topic as i can go more in depth. Contrary to popular belief blackheads are not dirt, blackheads form when a pore has become clogged with excess sebum (oil) and dead skin cells the blackness you see as is actually oxidised sebum. There are a few ways to deal with a blackhead from manual extraction to using various skincare ingredients to treat the area. Personally, I would leave the extractions to the professional as…

Hey Beauties!  I realised lately that i always go on about SPF and how important it is to wear SPF everyday even if its cloudy but ive never actually done a post on my favourite SPF products so if you are reading this post and you dont wear SPF daily this is your wake up call! I recently shared an image on my Instagram that showed the effects of sun damage on the skin from not protecting yourself. As you can see from the image above it shows the effects of sun damage on the skin, for this man it…

Hey Beauties! If you didn’t see, i posted on Instagram on saturday asking if you guys wanted to see a post on what do you do when you’ve sensitised your skin through using too many products or by going to fast when using stronger strength products. First things first we need to get this out the way – Sensitive Skin and Sensitised Skin are two completely different things. Sensitive skin is inherited its just something your skin is whereas sensitised skin is where you have caused damage to your skin through using too many products at once or by jumping…

Hey Beauties! Think back to 2014, everyone was obsessed with Effaclar Duo i literally dont know anyone who wasnt talking about it. Effaclar was on every blog as far as i can remember, to be honest its not something i ever used because at the time i knew about skincare but i didn’t have the knowledge and the love i have for it these days. La Roche Posay has recently reformulated the iconic Effaclar treatment it now contains more advanced technology with a bacteria-balancing active that controls the skin’s microbiome (The microorganisms/bacteria/flora that lives on your skin). Not only does Effaclar…
