New Cosmetics Line to Hit The UK- Review

7th December 2011 in Uncategorised - 10 Comments - 4 min read >/div>

Hey Beauties, I am going to do a review of a cosmetics company from spain which has came to the UK. Before i start i will say i was sent these items for the purpose of reviewing them.

So TEN IMAGE Cosmetics are brand from Spain which is the number one choice for professional cosmetics. The company has been going for nearly 25 years and has came to the UK. Cazcarra is the company that the TEN IMAGE falls under created by Carmen Cazcarra.
Now onto the fun part, i can safely say and honestly say i am quite impressed by the product, I was sent:

  • 4 Shades of there Corrector which is a Cream Concealer
  • The Midnight Secrets Collection ((Christmas 2011)) This collection contains-
    • Full eXtension Mascara
    • Dreams Eyeshadow (DE-07) – Venus Planet
    • Long Lasting Lipstick (LF-08) – Copper Brownie
    • Ultra Volume Gloss (GV-00) – Transparent Glitter
    • Mini Long Lasting Nail Polish (NP-267) – Gold, (NP-268) – Chocolate
Breakdown-
  • 4 Shades of there Corrector which is a Cream Concealer- These surprised with these because they look a bit like the MAC Studio Finish Concealer in the pot which is quite thick and high coverage, but these were so creamy they have the consistency of  Select Cover-up but the Coverage of Studio Finish without feeling cakey or thick which impressed me quite a lot. I got 3 shades
    • CMP-102
    • CMP-103
    • CMP-108
    • CMP-110

 From Left to Right: CMP-102, CMP-103, CMP-108, CMP-110

As you can see these are really creamy but have the coverage of a MAC Studio Finish Concealer.

Really Impressed with these but i do doubt the lasting time but we shall see in time

These individual Concealers are £14.00 each for 3.5g which i think is quite steep for the product but it does have some good properties about it

Green Concealer- Used for Counteracting redness in skin, Only a little is needed as you are trying to neutralise the red not cover it

I feel these would be good under the eyes because they are heavy at all, just blend them into the skin and be
sure to powder when done.

I think these would be quite good bases for your eye colour because the texture reminds me a bit of Paint Pots all though they are slightly thicker

This would be great on Darker Skin as it has red undertones.

I also received the Midnight Secret Collection, which  i think the packaging is great! It has the products in a foam casing to protect them and also has information about how to apply each product in the lid of the box which i think its quite different.
Collection Price- £80 (but there is an offer on you can get it for £50 Here))

  • The Full eXtension Mascara (£18) interested me because of the shape of the wand which looks awesome! This Mascara doesn’t clump at all it separates the lashes well and makes the look really long.

  • Dreams Eyeshadow (DE-07) – Venus Planet (£16)-The Eyeshadow is nothing really special it does look great, has good pigmentation and is a good colour but nothing special, it is a baked shadow so it is shimmery

  • Long Lasting Lipstick (LF-08) – Copper Brownie (£18)- This Lipcolour is a bit of a strange but nice colour its a brown,copper-shimmery with a bit of gold but looks gorgeous! i think this would make a good eye base as well as it is not sticky.

  • Ultra Volume Gloss (GV-00) – Transparent Glitter (£18)- This is your average lipcolour with a bit of glitter really, i find it is a little sticky but it makes the lips look great!
  • The Nail Polish in Gold and Chocolate (£6)- I really like the gold because it looks similar of the Chanel Gold Fiction Polish and the chocolate looks more like a very deep almost red great for Winter

Overall, i think the products are good for what they do, i love the Gold Nail Polish and the Concealer which i was really impressed by, But i do think some of the things are a little over priced for what is being sold.
I think i will be buying more of the concealers because i love them.

  • If you haven't already heard Kylie Jenner is now dipping into skincare as well as makeup.

All I'll say is it's completely different putting a makeup line together as that's rather easy but trying to put together a skincare line that's actually useful and not a bunch of generic rubbish is harder.

Kylie Jenner has effectively repackaged one of the worst face scrubs known to man, St Ives Apricot Scrub!
This new scrub will contain crushed walnut shells as it's main exfoliant which couldn't be worse for the skin as it has the tendency to cause micro tears in the skin if it's used roughly and can lead to all sorts of problems from letting bacteria into the skin to comprising your hydrolipid barrier.

With all of these new technology in skincare coming from brands like Deciem it feels like this Kylie Jenner product is coming from the late 2000s. To me it just screams lack of thought and can we talk about how generic it is? It's like all she wants to do is make more money instead of actually formulating something actually useful.

What do you think about this new range? .

  • I know your first instance when it's really sunny is to strip off and enjoy the sun and while it's true you should enjoy the gorgeous days of summer you should be protecting yourself.

While we should be wearing sunscreen everyday it's especially important on beautiful sunny days like these.

You should be applying a broad spectrum sunscreen of at least SPF 30 every 2/3 hours when you're out in direct sunlight.

It's recommended that you use at least 20p piece size of sunscren for your face.
I absolutely love the @larocheposayuki Anthelios range especially the Fluid version of Anthelios. I also really like @colorescienceuk sunforgettable mineral SPF 50 powder for reapplication when wearing makeup.

  • There's this idea that somehow applying more of a product will get you better results but this isn't true.

The opposite is actually true if you apply more all you'll get is unnecessary irritation and it might put you off using a product.

When using actives try to follow the recommendations on the back of the packaging.

I know I've done this before when I first used AHAs and it didn't go well but I'm glad I eventually learned as my mum would say "I'm a bull in a China shop" 🤣🤣

  • *SKINCARE ROUTINE*
I thought I would mix up my routine a little bit lately.

Cleanser- @dermalogicauk Special Cleanser - I love this little bottle it's great for using when at the gym. It's a basic cleanser that gets the job done.

Tone/Serum - @katesomervilleskincare Dermalquench Liquid Lift *gifted* - I apply it straight after cleansing. This is a spray loaded with hyaluronic acid and oxygen, apparently it's meant to felt firm and smooth whilst quenching and plumping the skin hence the name. It really is amazing if I'm honest it's as if you're just wiping away any dehydration and puffiness.

Serum - @officialmedik8 Hydr8 B5 Intense *gifted* - Whilst I do feel like this is way too expensive for what it is I do really like it. Hydr8 is really hydrating and soothing Its great for using with a retinol as it helps to combat the dryness with the Natural Moisturising Factors (NMF)

Treatment - @sundayriley A+ Retinoid Serum *gifted - This is a brand new retinoid to me I originally used Luna which was the first ever retinoid I used so I was pretty excited to try this out. it says it's 6% it's more like a 4/5% because there's no way the plant like ingredients actually constitute as retinol. Other than that I'm liking it it doesn't compare to Adapalene but it's still good.

Moisturiser - @stubborncosmetics Customised Moisturiser *gifted - I am freaking loving this moisturiser it's so good to have a different moisturiser for the different parts of my face. I'm amazed no one has had this idea before it's so simple yet genius! I have combination skin so there is a side for the dry patches and a side for the oily parts of my face. This is a truly balancing moisturiser ❤️

  • To be honest I only found this out recently and wanted to share it with all of you! 🙌🏼❤️ I remember back to early 2018 when I first used Adapalene I kind of went a little hamfisted and sensitised my skin for the couple weeks that followed I realised my skin wasn't as aggrevated when I would pat products into my skin.

From them on when I felt a bit sensitive I would pat everything on!

I also found that even when not sensitised if I pat on really strong actives there was no aggrevation compared to rubbing it in.
