Illamasqua Forbidden Matte Lip Liquid Review

17th May 2014 in Uncategorised - 16 Comments - 2 min read
I have seen a lot of matte liquid lipsticks this year it seems to be a real trend but as always Illamasqua have done it best. Matte Effect is Illamasqua’s Summer Collection which contains 3 Matte Lip Liquids and 4 of the Velvet Cream Blushes which have been launched before but more colours have been added to the range.
Colour and Pigmentation
Forbidden* is a Matte Pink it reminds me a lot of Eurydice lipstick that was launched in 2012 although this has a much better texture and lasts a lot longer,As always with Illamasqua the pigmentation is amazing i find that a lot of the matte liquid lipsticks aren’t as pigmented as i would like them but Forbidden is really opaque and easy to use.

Wear Time
Anything that is a Matte texture will be quite long lasting but i feel because of this formula it makes the colour last so much longer than it normally would, i had applied this at 12pm one day and it was still on my hand around 9pm the same day so about 9 hours which is extremely good wear the only thing i would say it just top it up around the 7th hour as i saw that it started to become a bit uneven as it was wearing off in parts.
Left was when first applied
Right was 9 hours later
Packaging
I really love the packaging of the new Matte Lip Liquids because its something different everything from Illamasqua is square and its plastic packaging but this new tube is very shiny and circular i have to admit i like this packaging much more than the others. I really like the little lip brush applicator as well as a lot of brands so the doe foot but i much prefer the brush.

Price and Where to Buy
You can purchase Forbidden Matte Lip Liquid from Illamasqua counters nationwide or from Illamasqua.com for £18.50 containing 4ml of product
The Good and The Bad
The Good?-  They are intensely pigmented and long wearing
The Bad?- The Price, they contain half the amount of product of the normal lipglosses but are £18.50 instead of 7ml for £16.50

What do you think of the Matte Lip Liquid?
