As you will have noticed, if you’re a regular reader, I tend to colour my hair a lot – it’s just something that I like to do. Although colouring your hair is a fun way to express your personality, it can be taxing on your hair if you do it a lot so I thought I would share with you my review of O&M Project Sukuroi Gold Smoothing Balm.
Project Sukuroi is a Golden Smoothing Balm from Original Mineral (O&M) and it’s one of those products that leaves your hair feeling so insanely smooth thanks to the Gold of Pleasure Oil. This oil helps to smooth out the cuticle because, when colouring hair, the cuticle of your hair can be raised causing the hair to look coarse and frizzy.
What you’ll first notice about Project Sukuroi is the gorgeous scent that it has. Usually I’m put off by strong scents but this is one of those “I can’t stop smelling this” scents.
You might think what the hell is this? Well it’s a balm type product that you use when your hair has just been washed you towel dry and apply a small amount throughout the lengths and ends of your hair then blow dry it into your hair. You’ll notice that this product has a slight shimmer to it but not overly 90’s glitter hair mascara more of an intense shine that makes you hair look really healthy. Project Sukuroi won’t weigh your hair down even if you have fine hair it as it looks thick but it’s really easily absorbed you could even apply it to dry hair and straighten. What happens is that when you heat up your hair the cuticle opens which allows the product to saturate and repair the hair even more so than just blow drying.
Project Sukuroi contains
- Gold of Pleasure Oil which is an oil that hydrates, conditions, protects with antioxidants
- Macadamia Oil that is native to Australia, this adds gloss and shine to dull hair. It is light enough to be absorbed by the cuticle giving the hair long-lasting moisture.
- Keratin, the superhero of the hair care world as it strengthens, rebuilds and smooths
As you’ll find when using Project Sukuroi, the more you use it the better your hair will look and feel. It starts off with your hair looking glossy and shiny and full of life and after a few washes your hair starts to become shinier and not as dull because it’s repairing your hair as you use it.
I really can’t recommend this enough I’ve been using it since the start of December and I’ve definitely noticed a difference in how my hair looks. I’ve stopped using products that are labelled as “Matte” as I feel that makes my hair look really dry, it’s safe to say I’ve embraced products like Project Sukuroi that give your hair a healthy shine and glow.
You can find O&M Project Sukuroi at SpaceNK for £28, I’ve gotten around 7/8 uses out of it and it’s still looking pretty full so it seems pretty worth it to me.
