La Roche Posay Reformulates Effaclar Duo [+]

Hey Beauties!

Think back to 2014, everyone was obsessed with Effaclar Duo i literally dont know anyone who wasnt talking about it. Effaclar was on every blog as far as i can remember, to be honest its not something i ever used because at the time i knew about skincare but i didn’t have the knowledge and the love i have for it these days.

La Roche Posay has recently reformulated the iconic Effaclar treatment it now contains more advanced technology with a bacteria-balancing active that controls the skin’s microbiome (The microorganisms/bacteria/flora that lives on your skin). Not only does Effaclar work to reduce spots faster (clinically proven to work in only 12 hours) but also helps prevent future breakouts, including hormonal ones. By re-balancing, the skin’s Microbiome, Effaclar Duo [+] not only rapidly clears imperfections and corrects marks, but also prevents the recurrence of acne by keeping levels of Staphylococcus in-balance.

Effaclar contains some awesome ingredients such as Niacinamide soothing inflammation as well as having the ability to visibly improve the appearance of enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, fine lines, dullness. Effaclar also contains a LHA which a derivative of Salicylic Acid which a lower acid pH of 5.5 so its less likely to cause irritation, Zinc PCA which is great at helping to regulate sebum production so you aren’t so oily.

I’m rather interested in trying this out i think i might go to boots to see if they have the new version to try out

If you have never used Effaclar before what you need to do is apply it after your treatment products or if your skin is particularly dehydrated you use this then a a light gel based moisturiser even though Effaclar is classed as a moisturiser.

  1. I have tried it, and I find it somehow pushes pimples back into the skin? but they eventually resurface if you don’t use it for a day or two so overall I don’t feel it’s worth it.
