Welcome Skintellectuals!

It’s no secret that i am a massive fan of all things hyaluronic acid its one of those few ingredients that will give you results right away! If you are not familiar with hyaluronic acid it can boost skin’s moisture content, soothe, and defend against moisture loss. The thing i love most about HA is that it is capable of holding up to a thousand times its own weight in water which makes it an one of the best hydrators for any skin type. In addition hyaluronic acid also provides an antioxidant defense against environmental assault.

Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly

Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly is an oil-free jelly that is marketed as a moisturiser but i honestly feel like this performs much better as a serum due to its thin texture. With the formula being so thin i like to use it straight after cleansing then wait about 5 minutes before continuing with the rest of my routine. The reason why i like to use it as a serum is because again its so thin, i feel like its not sufficiently hydrating enough to be a moisturiser

Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly contains a number of ingredients such as Hyaluronic Acid in the form of Sodium Hyaluronate, a salt form of HA which is considered more effective for skin than pure hyaluronic acid as it can penetrate the skin better as well as faster., Clinique’s “Clean Shield Technology” (which is a blend of Sunflower Seed, Barley Extract and Cucumber), Hypnea Musciformis Extract (Algae extract), Glycerine, Caffeine.

Overall its a pretty good formula what i like is this this is mainly hyaluronic acid and it contains 125ml of product which is a lot of product considering a lot of just pure HA is around 30ml and twice the price!

I have been using this for over a month now as you can see from the images that i have used quite a bit of the product already. I tend to use this twice a day because you can’t go wrong with HA. As i said earlier i dont use this as a moisturiser but if your skin isnt that dehydrated you could use this at the end of your routine just do what works for you.Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly would work best for Oily/Combination skin types as i dont think it will be hydrating enough for dry skin types, if you have dry skin you could try the Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator which is thicker and richer than this.

You can find the Clinique Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly at Clinique.co.uk or at any Clinique counter for £31 (125ml)

After seeing the review on your instagram, I decided to purchase the sample size of this. I've been looking everywhere for a moisturizer that won't cause bad reaction to my sensitive, oily, acne prone skin. After patch testing this I didn't see any irritation so I was intrigued (my skin can show irritation within only 30 mins of use which is ridiculous). And I live in a tropical country with heat and humidity all year long. Even Blithe's Crystal Iceplant that claims to be good for oily skintype has made me very oily after few hours of use. I have not yet tried this on fully, it's still sitting on my boudoir. But do you think this will be a good one to give a shot on my skin type?

I read your review on this on your instagram and decided to purchase the sample size. I've been looking everywhere for a moisturizer that won't cause bad reaction to my sensitive, oily, acne prone skin and when patch testing this it felt nice and didn't irritate my skin (my skin can show irritation within the first 30 mins of product use which is ridiculous). I have yet to try this out as my experience with moisturizers have not been pleasant (even Blithe's Crystal Iceplant gel cream which claims to be good for oily skin, got so oily after few hours). Do you think this is a good one to try on my skin type?

This sounds like a lovely hydrating serum with great ingredients! I don't use a HA specific serum but I always try to make sure my products contain a good amount of the ingredient to keep my skin hydrated!Jenny // Geeky Posh
