Natural Skincare Done The Right Way With Merumaya

Merumaya Mineral Cleansing Paste Review

Welcome Skintellectuals!

If you know me you’ll know that i love a good cleanser and when one comes along i tend to get a little excited haha. I have quite a rocky relationship with natural skincare because we not only have the greenwashing where brands will say their product does some insane claim or they just outright lie about what the product can achieve.

That’s not the case with Merumaya, i honestly feel the way that Malika (the creator of Merumaya) has created the brand is how natural skincare should be! There are no insane claims that this one ingredient can stop aging. All of the Merumaya ingredients are evidence based and have been shown to work in studies which is something you’ll be pressed to find with other natural brands.

Merumaya Mineral Cleansing Paste Review

Mineral Cleansing Paste is a new addition to the family of products at Merumaya, a first of its kind packed with essential minerals that boost skin function, while giving the cleanest cleanse and the gentlest exfoliation.
Usually when we see these types of cleansers that exfoliate they contain microbeads well not here! What you have in this cleanser are super fine crystals that buff the skin gently to exfoliate while the minerals of Zinc, Magnesium, Copper, Iron and Silicone help to balance and boost the skin function over time.

Merumaya Mineral Cleansing Paste Review

When i first tried this it reminded me so much of the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant which as you will know is one of my all time favourite physical exfoliators. There was something that happened whilst using this cleanser that i didn’t expect, when i am using prescription strength retinol i tend to avoid exfoliating because it irritates the skin but using this maybe 2 times a week in conjunction really helped to clear up any residual breakouts that i had.
Obviously that won’t be the case for everyone seeing as i have been using retinol and strong actives for quite a while now but i feel that it was impressive i didn’t get any irritation from it.

I have been using this for about a month now, using it 2 times a week and it really is amazing how soft my skin is. I think its safe to say i will be adding this cleanser to my arsenal with the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant.

I noticed real results around the 2nd week in as i have been using a lot of products its quite hard to tell where the results come from but my nose felt so much smoother than usual as i tend to get quite dry there if im not careful.

This cleanser is perfect for all skin types and ages although i do feel like it would work best for a dry skin/dehydrated because it is not only a really good exfoliator it helps to hydrate the skin as well as it contains Sweet Almond and Allantoin.
