I know that i tend to talk a lot about high end/luxury skincare, its because more expensive skincare tends to be better in the sense of better research and higher levels of elegant formulations because there tends to be more money to put into the product but Cerave is a complete exception from that.
Cerave is an American brand that was developed with dermatologists, its a brand that a lot of problem skins tend to use as it is recommended by a lot of dermatologists.
CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser was developed to cleanse and refresh the skin without over-stripping it or leaving it feeling tight and dry.
Hydrating Cleanser contains three types of essential ceramides:
ceramides 1, 3, and 6-II as well hyaluronic acid, fatty acids, cholesterol, phytosphingosine (a phospholipid with skin restoring properties) and glycerin (a humectant). These ingredients work to restore the skin’s barrier.
Although the product states this is for normal to dry skin, i have combination oily skin and i can use it just fine i think it would honestly be suitable for anyone who feels their skin is dehydrated.
I honestly tend to use this when my skin feels at its worst from when i either feel dehydrated from using products like Benzoyl Peroxide or when i have gone a bit hamfisted with the active and need something that isn’t going to harm or irritate my skin any further.
Since a lot of Cerave products contain ingredients that help to maintain and repair barrier function i feel like these are terrific specifically for stressed skin.
If you are new to skincare and you’re not sure where to start Cerave is a great place to pick and chose without breaking the bank and without breaking your skin haha.
You can find Cerave Hydrating Cleanser at boots.com or in Boots stores for as little as £9*
