Welcome, Skintellectuals.
I don’t know about you but I love it when something new happens because for a lot of the time everything is very same same…like oh a new hyaluronic acid…wow!
So when I found out that a new dermatology service was launching I was really excited. This is the second service of its type the original being Dermatica (full review here) I really love that there are no options for people in the UK to make use of these services as not everyone can get privately or through the NHS.

As I said above Skin + Me is a personalised dermatology service that you pay a certain amount of money each month for access to prescription strength medications like Tretinoin, Adapalene, Clindamycin etc
Its really easy to use Skin + Me all you have to do is visit their website and fill out a questionnaire and send pictures of your face (front, left and right) and the dermatologist will choose what will work best for you and prescribe it for you, I was given Tretinoin, Azelaic Acid and Clindamycin.
I’ve been using this for at least 3 weeks now and since I’m not new to retinoids I haven’t had any irritation or peeling which is good. I think the biggest difference to this formula is the addition of Clindamycin as I have always had acne and I’m 30 but since Clindamycin was added to my prescription literally no acne! I haven’t had a single breakout since I started using this.

I feel like the one area that Skin + Me has Dermatica beaten like literally blown out of the water is their packaging. Skin + Me has a daily doser which is just amazing. This type of packaging gives you a measured amount of product every day so you don’t underuse or overuse the product, you get just the right amount.
As you can see on the Skin + Me packaging it is marked with numbers and a moon to tell you when to use it. You just twist the packaging and it gives you your allotted amount to use
My problem with Dermatica was it was a pump and I never knew how much to use and that let to some irritation on more than one occasion because I didn’t know if I had enough.

If you were to choose between Dermatica or Skin + Me right now I would suggest Skin + Me simply because their packaging is miles ahead of Dermatica.
Skin + Me is £19.99 a month, your first month is free you only have to pay £3.50 for delivery. You can find them at skinandme.com
Have you used a dermatology service before?
Would you ever want to try Tretinoin?

I started using this product only last month.
I have normal issues, well normal to me that is, redness, broken veins, lines and wrinkles. I have in the few weeks of using, noticed that my skin is less red. I’m stringently following the guide, which advised stripping my routine right back using SPF 50 and Micellar Water to cleanse – looking forward to continuing on with the product too as it is making a difference
That packaging looks awesome! I’m far too heavy-handed when it comes to skincare and it’s so wasteful. More skincare needs to be designed to help us figure out how much we need. x
